HOW TO SUBMIT ARTICLES ONLINE
Learning how to submit articles online using an article submission site is easy, and all you need do is follow the steps below. First you must have your article written with the following components ready to enter into the boxes provided.
They must be in text format (save a Word file as text format from your Word save menu). I am not going to explain how to compose each of these and how the article should be optimized for the keyword (only one primary keyword per article): that is explained in pages on this website.
a) The Title
b) The Article Summary
c) The Body of the Article
d) The Author's resource in both text and HTML formats
e) The keyword list
Now, follow the undernoted instructions:
A. Register for Each Article Drectory.
You will have to provide a user name and password, so you can log in, and some will also ask for your home address and other personal details. Do this for every directory in which you want your article submitted.
Some directories, such as articlecity.com will ask you for no details and will simply accept your article, but the vast majority will require details to enable you to submit articles online.
B. Check the TOS and Author Guidelines
Having registered you will have clicked that you understand the TOS (Terms of Service) but may not have read them properly. Make sure you do this. I lost my Adsense account because of that.
Also read the Author Guidelines: these tell you the rules - whether or not you can use HTML, where active links can be used, and how many, word count limits and so on. This is a very important aspect of any article directory.
B. Note Any Article Submission Credits
Some directories will request submission credits. i.e. payments in advance for the submission. When you submit articles online most are free, but some ask for a fee. The three main directories that do so are:
iSnare.com: 10 for 5 credits to $100 for 100.
articlerich.com: $1.39 for 1 credit to $27 for 100
1888articles.com: $5 for 1 credit
These were the charges at the time of writing. Each also has free submissions, but your chances of being submitted in a worthwhile time period without payment are slim. There may be others making charges but these are the ones I use, and I consider at the least the top two to be worthwhile and I submit articles online almost daily.
C. Login and Complete the Forms
Sign in and fill in each box with the relevant article component a) to e) above.
D. Preview and Edit
Preview your article and check that the links work as they should. if something is not right then edit it. Make sure your spelling is right.
E. Click to Submit and then wait.
Articles can be submitted from between 1 day (Article Rich paid submissions) to months. Even iSnare paid submission can take up to a month to be submitted.
That is how to submit articles online manually, but there are easier ways to do that cost you money. It is up to you whether or not the money you pay is worth the benefits, but have always believed that to be the case, and while I submit articles manually, I also use software to do so and one particular submission service.
How to Submit Articles Online Using an Article Submission Service
By using a subscription submission service you can have your articles submitted online for you. I will not beat about the bush, but simply tell you that I have used a few article submission services and the only one I find worth the money I pay for it is Submit Your Article.
I am not going to give you a sales talk on it here, but I do use it, and I also use it as part of the article submission service I offer my customers. You can check it out here for yourself, but I use it because my tracking shows that it brings me a heck of a lot of traffic from the article directories and ezines to which it submits my articles.
One of its benefits it enables me to write as many versions of the title, introductory paragraph (very important) and text and HTML resources as I want, and also two versions of each sentence. It then perms these and offers different versions of the article to each directory. You can use this service at no extra cost or simply go for the same article to be submitted. You can also submit over your preferred time periods (from 2 to 60 days).
NOTE: Each of the article submission services that I currently use personally are submitted to you below, and the links will open in a new window so you can easily get back to this page.

How to Submit Articles Online Using Software
I have tried several types of article submission software but the only one I use to submit articles online is Article Submitter Platinum. This is a good piece of kit that you can set up to carry out your own article submission service online.
It contains a large number of article directories and you can also add your own. Many permit automatic submissions - those that don't require a Captcha code to be entered before you can submit. As I say, this is the best I have tried and you can check it out here:

Manual Article Submission Service
You can submit articles online using my own submission service. I have a webpage devoted to this, and you can CHECK IT OUT HERE.
Conclusion
That is basically how to submit articles online, either manually or through an article submission service. My own article submission site offers you several options, but whichever you choose one thing is certain:
Article marketing is one the most powerful marketing techniques available online. If you submit articles online you are opening up your website to the eyes of potentially thousands of people and all you need are a few to reach your website and make a purchase, and you will have paid the cost of an article submission service or software.
Keep in mind that once you have gained one visitor, you have the opportunity to keep them in your sights forever, assuming that you have a good squeeze page or a compelling opt-in form on your landing page
However that is another story and for another web page! Make sure you continue to submit articles online using one article submission or another and keep driving customers to your selected pages.
